Kennedy Joy Foristall is a serial entrepreneur and the Founder and CEO of Raide, a clothing rental marketplace app launched in 2023 at Florida State University, where she graduated in May 2024. Alongside co-founder Noah Romo, Kennedy Joy identified that most college students have a need or desire to expand their closets without going broke and created Raide. By innovatively encouraging students to rent and lend items, Raide offers the perfect side hustle while combating fast fashion's environmental impact. In just over a year, Raide has facilitated thousands of rentals and amassed a devoted user base across Florida’s three largest public universities, with plans to further expand nationwide. Featured on the front page of the Tallahassee Democrat in just their first month of launching, Raide’s journey also earned recognition as a finalist in the 2024 TCU Values and Ventures Competition and as the overall winner in the Jim Moran College’s InNOLEvation Challenge earlier this year. Kennedy Joy is passionate about increasing accessibility around clothing and sustainability, driving Raide's mission to reduce the need for excessive clothing production and associated waste. She believes that “you make a living off of what you get, but a life off of what you give.” Honored as one of FSU's Humanitarians of the Year, Kennedy Joy continues to inspire others to turn everyday challenges into meaningful solutions. She believes that as Florida State Seminoles, we are encouraged to be legacy builders- for ourselves, our community, and our world. She is steadfastly committed to mentoring others in their entrepreneurial journey as a foundational way of giving back.
