About Ken Barker

I retired in April 2018 as a Partner in the UK's most successful independent asset manager. My 30 year career has taken me from training as an investment banker in New York with JP Morgan, pioneering fixed income derivative trading with blue chip banks, making a career change to become an award-winning investment manager, to client servicing with the highest rated asset management company in this field. I have served as chair of a fund management company with full regulatory responsibility and as a non-executive director of Scotland's financial services industry body. I am now at Trustee of the David Hume Institute.
