Functioning as the Watch Analyst, I conduct outreach with different internal FEMA offices, FEMA Regional Watch Centers, and DHS partners to gather and analyze pertinent information on incidents that may require a more specific federal response. I ensure awareness of all hazards nationally 24/7 to deliver necessary notifications to key personnel and agencies. I also conduct initial reporting that supports the inception of incident management and support. In addition, I collaborate well with a team of 5 to collect, analyze, and summarize emergency response and recovery data to senior leaders through the creation of the FEMA daily operations briefing, national situation report, SPOTREPs, and Senior Leadership Briefings through the usage of different Microsoft Office Suite products. I even work as the Adobe Connect program lead, accountable for presenting the FEMA daily operations briefing to 300+ individuals while developing procedures and providing technical assistance to other FEMA Regional Watch Centers. Most importantly, I achieved an ‘excellent’ rating on yearly/quarterly evaluations and was recognized with a performance-based award in Q2 2021.

Working as the CWMD Watch Officer, I can proudly say that I effectively performed continuity operations supporting the CWMD watch team, including deployments to the Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center (MWEOC). I monitored, synthesized, and disseminated all-source information regarding terrorist and weapons of mass destruction threats to internal/external partners. I also actively responded to requests for information from stakeholders, distributed products to CWMD Office Management, and maintained a SharePoint watch log of actions. In addition, I prepared SITREPs using data submitted by operations components and integrated reports with data on Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear assets and medical resources.

Minot Air Force Base

Being a Senior Emergency Actions Controller, I routinely gave MS PPT briefings to 15+ audiences to train and inform individuals on emergency management operations, classified material handling, continuity of government, and workplace relocation procedures. I directed the base alerting system program using data collection and analysis to ensure alert information could reach 7,000 individuals. Created standard operating procedures to guide the workplace in using the system. I also initiated the mass notification of base security changes to 7,000 personnel. Achieved the recognition as the ‘Superior Performer’ from the Headquarters Inspectors. Lastly, I utilized a wide variety of training methods for 5 personnel in strategic command and base emergency action procedures through thunderbolt exercises, written tests, and on-the-job instruction with all personnel certified within the established timeline.

U.S. Air Forces In Europe Nuclear Operations Center, Ramstein Ab, Germany

Throughout the years, being part of the organization as a Senior Emergency Actions Controller, I tracked over 2000 security/duress alerts on nuclear assets across the European continent by monitoring credible threat reports from 6 units. Responded to EUCOM Commander inquires while keeping $54B nuclear caches safe. I am equipped with established expertise to process, prioritize, and disseminate 1,500 emergency actions messages to 11 bases, ensuring presidential command, control of forces, and continuity of the government. I also created after-action reports of workplace performance during nuclear exercises and formally presented findings to more than 15 audiences, and provided recommendations for improvement. I also responded to over 20 formal requests for information from the European Joint Operation Center and the Africa Joint Operation Center. I even investigated the inquiries and provided satisfying information to the questions asked. Lastly, I maintained the access control for SCIF and kept access control lists for personnel granted unescorted access and visitors logs for the facility while providing escort training to personnel assigned as escorts.

603 Air Operations Center, Ramstein Ab, Germany

As the Mission Manager, I managed and organized 327 air refueling missions using satellite communications and global military decision systems, coordinated with regional units and allied nations to allow nearly 800 multinational aircraft to continue operations. In addition, I am equipped with blended management skills and technical expertise in planning, launching, and monitoring 29-time critical aero-medical evacuation missions and balancing the crew requirements, aircraft, and nation-states to save 38 lives. Most importantly, I was assigned to coordinate diplomatic clearance and aircraft landing requests for 903 missions in 94 countries.

Contributing to the company’s operations as a Junior Emergency Actions Controller, I contributed to achieving the organization’s goal, including executing over 10 Alaska National Guard search and rescue missions, saving 15 lives, and providing regular situation reports of operations to military leadership. I scrambled F-22 fighter planes to support real-world and exercise situations and successfully earned the ‘Outstanding Team Performance’ award during the Inspector General’s evaluation of organizational mission. I also maintained the record of events during exercises and emergency situations, allowing historical review, analysis, and development of after-action reports to improve processes. I even directed the flow of intelligence between first responders and base leadership, ensuring effective emergency relief actions could be taken. Moreover, I participated in monthly exercise scenarios designed to practice Pacific Command and NORAD emergency actions procedures in coordination with 2 other regional units.
