Hi I'm an ex military on leaving Her Majesties services . I was unemployed for two weeks and applied for a job with local service for holiday relief. I have now been their for 30years , started off and a waste collector then promotion to waste supervisor for the rural west of our area. I was then promoted to waste coordinator and moved to main depot to run the collection of all domestic and commercial wastei collections for the Stirling council area which covers 850sq miles of urban & rural.during my time with the council I have been involved in moving from sack collection to wheeled bin collection , rerouting and optimising service delivery by reducing the operational fleet and the amount of employees required to do the job to make savings to the organisation.I have again been involved in further savings to the organisation due to my experience within the field of waste collection.
