Did end to end development of a hardware and software solution for the company to save money on report delivery. Identified workflow and client needs and developed a solution using Node JS/Linux that would run on much cheaper hardware. Identified the most cost-effective hardware to roll out. Also designed and developed end to end the J2EE web app/database that would be used by our support staff. The web app used Primefaces/JSF, Java, Jersey Rest API JBOSS and MySQL. Presented a demo for the CEO and this solution went live and successfully delivered tens of thousands of reports over 3 years to over 50 clients around the country. With this solution, our support could now pro-actively monitor the automated instant delivery of reports. Had opportunity to work with sales and work with the clients directly to support the project. Mentored a jr developer for this project as well.Also worked on several modules for Miraca's LIS application. This was a strict agile environment with daily stand-ups and strict deadlines on a large team. Worked with BAs to get requirements directly from the business owners. Ensured HIPAA compliancy during design. Was a full stack dev on this multi-million dollar project using Primefaces/JSF,Java, JBOSS and restful web services. As Sr.Developer, I performed design and code review for many peers.Also was application owner and tier 1 support of a company critical app that assigned and distributed workload to all of the pathologists in our organization. I made improvements to the automated assignment algorithm and had to be ready for support at any time to avoid any downtime and loss of productivity for our pathologists. This app uses Windows IIS server/PHP. Had great opportunity to work on R&D and POCs, such as a native IPad app to get latest diagnosis, IPhone app for help desk/sales. Presented DROOLS rules engine solution to directors. Worked on mobile solution POC using Ionic.

At Ameripath/Quest Diagnostics, I had the opportunity to work on a Lab Information System application from first go-live to several releases over 6 years. The application had a successful impact to improve productivity across several labs nationwide. Performed end to end development on several critical modules for this application. These modules were implemented using a strict waterfall methodology and for every module assigned to me, I would help the BAs gather and finalize requirements, then come up with a design that is peer reviewed , do the development on both front and back-end of the J2EE application stack, and work closely with the QA team to resolve any defects. Some of the modules I developed were for the lab grossing stations, result entry for the pathologists and several screens to help distribute blocks and slides.I also had the opportunity of developing a separate standalone J2EE application used by the labs for tracking and matching specimens via a barcode scanner. I designed and developed all of the screens for the application and the track and match algorithm. Was fortunate enough to travel across the country to see this application used live by our labs and work with the users to improve their workflow. The success of this application, helped minimize human errors of matching specimens to different patients. It was very rewarding to see this hard work in action helping people with their job duties.At Quest, I was also asked to join their agile development team to help quickly release a new version of our lab information system software. Successfully finished many sprints and rolled out several modules.

Helped develop software using C/C++ that performed network centric collaborative targeting. This software was used on live aircraft to help find targets with better accuracy. Also developed tools in Java using Swing to help monitor targets. Later, helped developed simulation software so targets can be tracked on a live map. Traveled to various cities across the country to support the software during live training exercises.
