Managed and coached local chapter staff and member-leaders, coordinating membership growth, facilitating community meetings, building partnership coalitions, organizing local budget campaign, and coordinating community canvasses and outreach opportunities.

Engaged in statewide coalition work with the California Partnership for the Future of Learning to advance equity based solutions in California and the Los Angeles Unified School district. Researched and wrote about policy issues opportunities, and solutions regarding equitable education funding, disparities facing Black students and families in California, and community schools. Assisted coordination of statewide education policy conferences.

Coordinated with local volunteers, parents, teachers, support staff and students to facilitate quality tutoring services for 100+ students at Sherman Middle School who required additional academic support. Hosted spotlight lecture series featuring community leaders from various fields including Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes. Organized the My Brothers Keeper of Madison initiative introducing underrepresented youth of color to stem, gaming and coding education, resources and mentorship.

Coordinated and directed afterschool programs, family and community engagement events and sports programs while facilitating community partnerships and resources for 100+ students and families at Sherman Middle School. Operated with 10+ partnerships. Developed classical dance scholarship program. Managed $100,000 Community Learning Center grant.

Coordinated and facilitated academic enrichment, college and career readiness, personal and professional development, financial literacy, arts and extracurricular afterschool programs for nearly 50 teenage students in Dane County. Coordinated educational and recreational field trips. Partnered and coordinated with Zeidler Center for Public Discussion to secure 15+ paid civic engagement opportunities uplifting voices of youth.

Collaborated with registered student organizations, graduate mentors and professional staff within United Council, UW-System School and local non-profit organizations we developed and ran multiple campaigns for social and economic equity and justice for underrepresented students at UW-Madison and within UW-System schools. We implemented the Blackout campaign actualizing racial & economic demands like, the reallocation of 1.2 million dollars for mental health services for students, the reallocation of resources for a Black Cultural Center and the establishment of a UW-System wide task force to address the needs of underrepresented students. We also ran the Blindside campaign in coalition with 40+ student organizations taking 20/32 seats within UW-Madison student government.

Serving in the office of State Assemblyman Mandela Barnes I was tasked with drafting policy responses, drafting policy research summaries, contacting donors for fundraisers, communicating with constituents and other clerical duties.

For the Wisconsin PEOPLE scholar summer enrichment program I served in the duties of collaborating with core a team to to ensure the functionality of the program. I was in charge of communicating with and overseeing 20 counselors and over 100 students in the program to maintain student and counselor safety as well as enforce regulations. I also worked as live in residential counselor and community residential assistant for future UW-Madison students.
