I have advised and assisted several thousand clients create their wills and estate planning documentation.

From my previous experiences I engaged my interests in later live care and promoted a will writing service and took an interest in the problems affecting the National Health Service and the issues of bed blocking and social care funding and how these impact on the performance of the NHS. I strongly believe the creation of transitional care facilities is a route to help our hospitals release more patients who are discharged from acute care. I engaged in research and promoted a concept to the Harrogate Hospital Foundation Trust for a transitional care unit.

The companies specialised in providing accommodation for young adults with learning and physical disabilities. I helped develop several homes including two new-build projects which were regulated by the CQC, and in one case the National Autistic Society. The projects created a caring environment with well-trained and enabled staff to support independent living. I helped establish a home-care agency, assisting with the care of both the elderly and younger disadvantaged and vulnerable people in their own homes. Retaining independence and being treated with dignity and respect are key. The right to choose is often overlooked.

Engaged in partnerships as a general solicitor , I gained knowledge in the fields of property, family and immigration law. I dealt with litigation matters and criminal law cases; helping and assisting clients with their legal problems. I developed a practice with a strong conveyancing basis.
