I am the founder, lead instructor, and podcaster at the Football Learning Academy (https://www.football-learning-academy.com).I have researched and written about pro football history for over 30 years. I began writing early on and developed a passion for sharing the knowledge and experience that I learned along the way. I have published works include being the solo author of two books, as well as being the managing editor or contributor to four additional books; and have written hundreds of articles on pro football history.I have been selected as a voting member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Blue-Ribbon Committee for Contributors.My work has appeared in publications such as SI.com (Sports Illustrated), National Football Post, Packer Report, The Coffin Corner, and Cold Hard Football Facts, among others.Over the last three decades, I have interviewed some legends of the game, including many Pro Football Hall of Famers. I have also been interviewed by many outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, SiriusXM NFL Radio, Rolling Stone magazine, Deadspin, ESPN Radio, Fox Sports Radio, and The History Channel.I won the Dick Connor Writing Award (awarded by the Pro Football Writers of America) for Feature Writing. The award is now called the Lesley Visser Enterprise/Features Award.I won the Ralph Hay Award (awarded by the Professional Football Researchers Association) for lifetime achievement in pro football research and historiography.
