Similar in remit to my APAC role with BNY, this role involves day to day management of all analytics processes related to the CDO (Collateral Debt Obligations) business in EMEA. Essentially this is new deal pipeline management, support management and escalation of issues related to other issues on existing deals. The EMEA CDO Analytics team is comprised of people with a variety of backgrounds - such as programming, finance and accountancy. This was a fantastic role which helped provide invaluable exposure to different product offerings, different cultures, and a super bunch of staff in APAC. - Managed the APAC Analytics and Trust Management function - covering Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan- Sat on monthly Corporate Trust Committee meetings. Was a Responsible Manager attached to the Sydney branch licence.- Worked closely with clients for onboarding of new transactions and resolution of issues in relation to existing ones.- Diverse range of reporting and modelling, across a range of deal types and structures - ABS / RMBS / CDO / CLO / Conduits / Project Finance.- Detailed Real Estate reporting such as stratification and profile detailing.- Multiple conversion projects, coordinated migration from locally developed desktop applications onto our global enterprise reporting systems.- Responsible for team performance monitoring, and headcount management. Initiated and managed relationships with local agencies.- Day to day management of deal pipeline and allocation of resources.- Responsible for implementation of quality control processes within the department, and managed successful audits for our function.- Defining reporting and other business requirements, and producing a functional specification for various deals. - Support and development of existing bespoke and proprietary deal models (Wall Street Office, MS Access VBA, MS Excel, SQL).- Point of escalation for the business on interpretation issues with deal documentation. This is especially prevalent in the current environment where deal documentation is being continuously re-interpreted. - Provided SME training on Structured Finance Products and compliance testing to structured finance analysts and relationship managers.This role also had an operational focus. We performed monthly cash reconciliation on the various deals, liaised with clients on breaks, and ultimately ran each report.
