I’m the founder and owner of BlackLock Games, LLC, an indie game company developing mystery visual novels. I am also, a Software Developer at CACI International, Inc. and have been working there for over two years after having graduated from Hiram College with a degree in Computer Science in 2019. I am now seeking a position that will utilize and and expand my creative and technical skills and am open to new opportunities including those in the gaming industry.My passion is game development and engaging interactive media. I am seeking a full time position as a game developer, with an emphasis on narrative design. I am also open to opportunities as a software developer, technical writer or other creative/technical roles. As a software developer, I have honed skills in various coding languages and the agile development process. The field is always changing and in order to add value an individual must be able to adapt and learn. I have a diligent mind, one that enjoys the challenge and the novelty in learning more information and staying on top of new advances. Software development is seldom an individual task but working in groups can also lead to stresses and tensions among some individuals. I find that I’ve been a great mediator and influencer among my peers to keep them focused and working out differences among one another and to keep projects moving to promote collaboration. Likewise, in all professional settings there can be setbacks and shortcomings that tests the resilience and determination of a group. I can refocus and reorient the group out of the thoughts of failure and get the team to re-shift their thinking into a more positive light to increase productivity. Additionally, I know how to manage time and properly prioritize tasks within a given time frame to best determine the most efficient way to accomplish projects. Having worked in multiple agile development environments, I have developed effective communication skills with project leaders and non-technical customers and stakeholders to arrive at a mutual understanding of project requirements and expectations. I’ve developed effective strategies and communication skills to translate technical information to non-technical customers and stakeholders.
