I manage a team of Systems and Applications Administrators that provide direct support to our 400+ employees. We support K3 Offices located in the UK, Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, France, Singapore, Malaysia and the USA. We also partner on many projects with our service providers.

Analyze the needs of different schools and determine ways to meet educational objectives by modifying existing or developing new information processing systems. Collaborate with leadership team on methods of applying technology that will meet the needs and requirements of both administrative and educational functions. Provide staff and faculty training. Provide advanced technical knowledge and assistance with the Student Information System (SIS). Taught two High School ICT classes during the 1st semester. Redesigned and implemented the campus network infrastructure.

Part of the UW Medicine system include Airlift Northwest and the UW Physicians practice group, the largest physician practice plan in the region. As a Senior Systems Administrator at UW Medicine I provide a leadership role in a large and extremely diverse, fast-past IT environment supporting around the clock services. I am lead for both MSSQL and Web Services teams. I also am the Primary Systems Administrator for Active Directory, Network Policy Service and DNS services. I Work with many cross-team initiatives regarding enterprise infrastructure, including monitoring, security and authentication.

I design and build enterprise grade, high availability systems. Additionally I plan, manage, track and engage in infrastructure activities to achieve program goals and objectives. This role also involves setting forth design, development, engineering, security and testing methodologies. I develop security definitions for the operation and management of the campus enterprise systems. A key aspect of this position is to troubleshoot and resolve difficult problems. Further, I am a Technical Lead, assisting and training junior staff.

In this position I participated in the initial design and building of Enterprise Service systems during the campus startup phase, which included account management, file share, print and system deployment services. Additionally, I planned, coordinated, managed and engaged in infrastructure activities to achieve program goals and objectives set forth by main campus policies and international remote campus requirements.

Greater Pittsburgh Area

In this position I was hired part-time to design, deploy and manage Information Technology services, which included file share, print and email services. I also consulted on and implemented designs and plans to deploy Information Technologies onto the Institute for Shipboard Education’s new ship the USS Universe. The design included network, systems and desktop deployments, Internet connectivity from and to the ship and system services. Implementation requirements limited installation within a 7-days while the ship was in port in Portland, OR, Seattle, WA and Juno, Alaska and at sea between ports.

I was hired as the first DOS/Windows consultant for the Information Technology department at Carnegie Mellon University. In this role I provided 3rd-level support to the university’s faculty, staff and students. I consulted with both internal Information Technology groups, which included Systems, Networking, and Application Development groups in addition to external departments Information Technology staff members.

Cumberland, Maryland Area

In this role I planned and facilitated the transition to personal computers for staff productivity for the entire organization. Tasks included hardware and software acquisition, network, computer and printer deployments and training. Work productivity applications included word processing and spreadsheets. Services included printing, scanning, file sharing and email.
