With over 25 years of experience in human resources management, I am passionate about creating and implementing effective policies, programs, and practices that support the well-being and development of employees and the success of the organization. My field of expertise is in industrial/organizational psychology and employment law, which enables me to apply evidence-based and ethical principles to address complex and diverse issues in the workplace. As a former Human Resources Manager at City of Tulsa, I was proud to serve the public and the city's workforce of over 4,000 employees in various areas, such as compensation, labor relations, employee relations, health insurance, retirement systems, and grievance and EEO investigations. In addition to my role as a Human Resources Manager, I also taught as an Adjunct Professor at Southern Nazarene University for three years, where I shared my knowledge and experience in human resource planning and development and strategic human resource management with working adults. I enjoyed designing and delivering engaging and relevant assignments, projects, and exams, and providing personalized feedback to students. Some of the skills that I utilized and developed in both roles include classification, analytical skills, federal indian law, testing concepts and methods, and technology in the classroom. I am always eager to learn new skills and explore new challenges, and I value collaboration, diversity, and innovation.
