Kenneth Fridley is a seasoned real estate executive with over 36 years of expertise in investment, development, and finance, boasting a track record of more than 25 years in the dynamic Japan market, with experience in China, South Korea, and Singapore. During his career in Asia, he has been involved in transactions valued at over $6.5 billion. Presently, Mr. Fridley is COO at Alyssa Partners Japan, a dynamic, fast-growing Tokyo-based investment manager where he is responsible for daily operations, including business development initiatives, fund management, capital markets projects, and technology-related initiatives.Previously, Mr. Fridley was CEO at Strategic Asset Solutions K.K., an investment firm he founded that specialized in assisting companies unlock the untapped potential of their real estate assets. Innovative strategies included sale leasebacks, acquiring surplus real estate, built-to-suit solutions, and strategic partnerships.From 2011 to 2021, Mr. Fridley served as the President of Capbridge Investors K.K., which evolved from Nippon ResCap Investors KK. This boutique real estate investment advisory firm provided advisory services to institutional investors spanning various property sectors, targeting market inefficiencies and capital dislocation opportunities to secure exceptional risk-adjusted returns.In 1999, Mr. Fridley embarked on his journey to Tokyo, co-founding CB Richard Ellis Investors Japan ("CBREIJ") with the position of Executive Vice President. His contributions played a pivotal role in the acquisition and transformation of the defunct Japanese real estate developer, New City Corporation, by senior CBREIJ executives at the close of 2002.Notably, in December 2004, NCC and CBREIJ jointly sponsored and listed New City Residence Investment Corporation on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, marking a historic milestone as the first fully foreign-sponsored J-REIT. Following this landmark listing, Mr. Fridley, alongside other NCC and CBREIJ leaders, spearheaded a management buyout, merging investment management with the development platform to give rise to a revitalized New City Corporation.At New City Corporation, Mr. Fridley assumed the role of Vice Chairman, overseeing capital market endeavors and global operations, expanding the company's footprint into China, South Korea, and Singapore. Before his Tokyo sojourn, Mr. Fridley served as the Director of the Asia Pacific Advisory Group for CB Richard Ellis, based in Honolulu, Hawaii, providing advisory services to Asian-based owners of U.S. real estate.
