Started as a registered nurse in 2014, I was placed in a neurology general ward at General Hospital Kuala Lumpur. After 5 years of working, I decided to take a leap of faith to advance my nursing career in Singapore. I started off my journey well when I was given a place in the ICU. Fast forward to 2024, I can proudly call myself a professionally trained ICU nurse who can care for the sickest patients.Throughout my career in Singapore, I am exposed to different ICU settings (neuro ICU, cardio ICU, NCID ICU, medical ICU) and am capable to manage patients with complex conditions. I am also trained to perform dialysis (HD, CRRT) and nursing cardio patients (patients with IABP, TWP, etc.)I consider myself a good team player, often rendering help to colleagues to provide the best care for our patients. When I face difficulties, I often open up to my colleagues to help me solve problems. I do not see this as a weakness because we are dealing with precious lives and I believe opening up my problems and discussing them can help me be a better nurse and provide safe and efficient care for my patients.
