As the project director, my responsibilities were to provide engineering, procurement and construction management services for the owner's $800M greenfield project on a 125 acre site. Engineering included dock design, site work, services, buildings and facilities, foundations, piping, electrical distribution and integration of process equipment. Procurement solicited, negotiated and managed 44 major contractor contracts. Construction management provided scheduling, project controls, coordination and technical direction into assisting owner with process commissioning. See time lapse video link.

Gerdau Steel—St. Paul, MinnesotaProvided construction scheduling services for a new billet steel continuous caster with associated handling and storage equipment. Nucor-Yamato Steel—Blytheville, ArkansasProvided consulting and design engineering services. The project involved construction engineering design services for a structural steel rolling mill capacity expansion increasing product width and length capabilities. It included reheat furnace material handling, replacement breakdown mill housing, increased power edging mill drive, and a new 3-stand finishing mill replacing the single stand finishing mill. Support systems included two medium power substation expansions, mill drive power distribution expansion, auxiliary systems power distribution, mill housing exchange pit expansion, a fully enclosed, stand-alone, US first automatic storage and retrieval system (ASRS) for 900 mill rolls, mill roll shop relocation, contact and non-contact water systems, and a building column bridge over equipment. The project involved the world’s two largest aluminum ingot (42 ea.) pusher furnaces and required a fast–track implementation with simultaneous design releases. The aluminum can reclamation expansion included a can shredder, delac furnace, bag houses, and interconnecting bulk material conveyor systems integrated into the existing, full-production operating facility.
