Plan both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice, and program philosophy.Meet the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs of each child. Know the Ages and Stages of development for the children in class. Use only positive child guidance techniques to instruct children. Conduct daily Health Checks for each child in class upon arrival and dismissal. Maintain daily open communication with parents.Keep accident reports and all appropriate records, such as attendance and time sheets.Maintain confidentiality. Report any suspected abuse to director and remain prepared to make a report to the abuse hotline.Maintain a safe and healthy environment - Inspect and report damaged or lost materials. Attend trainings and staff meetings.Meet all applicable licensing regulations.Plan and supervise events.Office work. Update and enforce policies and procedures. Create new and update forms. Sort through and organize lesson materials. Maintain daily open communication with CPS, DFPS, and CASA workers.
