Contraho are a principle contractor and developer specialising in the refurbishment and renovation of Grade A and B listed properties. Generally focusing on townhouses in the Park area of Glasgow, properties currently being used as offices have been acquired and returned to high-end residential units.In a contracts manager capacity, with operational responsibilities, my role has been to deliver these projects and contracts with a mix of a core team of staff plus sub-contractors.- managing all aspects of multiple projects, start to completion, of value £1m - 2.5m - ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements across all levels of the company and sub-contractors, together with staff training and development - new project planning and scheme development, assessing drawings, contract scope and design briefs, budget setting, design management, specification creation and material selections/suppliers- principle liaison to clients, planning and building control officers, handling CI’s, RFI’s, cost request, planning applications, correspondence and permits, hosting site/office progress meetings with supporting reports - project programming, cash flows and cost controls of projects, monitoring and documenting project progress, changes and other performance indicators, reporting as required- supporting our site manager with technical advice and the co-ordinating of all site operations, tasks, staff, and sub-contractors ensuring continuity of materials over a short and long term basis- establishing relationships with CITB, local college’s and universities to create training and employment opportunities which has resulted in company appointments, apprenticeships and placement
