I prepared Emirati students to contribute to the UAE’s “Vision 2030” in accordance with the National Curriculum of the UAE. I instructed Grades 9-12 ESL students pursuing careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics-related fields to develop their proficiency levels, improve fluency, spoken and written communication abilities. Students engaged in formative peer and self-assessment to demonstrate consistent growth against standards on summative assessments. During my tenure as Head of Grade 9, I spearheaded initiatives that transformed academic outcomes and student welfare. In my role, I took charge of crafting the Grade 7 and 8 English units, meticulously curating texts and activities that seamlessly aligned with common assessments. My aim was to create a unified learning experience that nurtured consistency and academic progression for all students. Each unit was meticulously designed to adhere to the American Common Core standards, serving as the backbone for my instruction. With a blend of creativity and pedagogical expertise, I delivered lessons that were not only informative but also captivating, sparking curiosity and fostering critical thinking skills in my students. Through engaging activities and thought-provoking discussions, I aimed to cultivate a deep appreciation for language and literature while enhancing their proficiency.
