Tie substations and switchyards to generators’ step-up transformers at generation plants. Duties include scoping and estimating of all projects, design transmission lines, ordering all material needed for each project, working with construction group and other field personnel to insure in-service dates are met. Scoped and reviewed designs for approval on EPC projects in South Louisiana. Lead transmission line designer on Down-stream of Gypsy (DSG), Amite South, and Southeast Louisiana Improvements (SELA 1, & 2) projects. Worked together with Cleco Power and Lafayette Utilities System to upgrade transmission in Acadiana Load Pocket (ALP). Also worked on the largest underground transmission line river crossing in the USA, the Kaiser-Lower Coast 230/115 kV line. Worked on new CCGT generator at Ninemile generation plant. Member of the transmission line standards review group. Worked with Oil and Gas companies in South Louisiana on design , procurement and construction of new Substations for their Plants and facilities. Worked with Shell in NORCO Louisiana on new WESCO Substation, Valero’s upgrade to their Goodhope Substation in NORCO, Louisiana, Marathon Oil expansion in Garyville, Louisiana on their new Tezcuco Substation, ExxonMobil in Chalmette, Louisiana on their new Oaks Substation. Also worked on numerous electrical Substations for Gas pipeline pump stations in South Louisiana.
