Kenneth Luker is a Principal and co-founder of Studio Archibene. Born and raised in Texas, he received a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree from Texas A&M University and a Master of Architecture degree from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. He also studied architecture at the University of Cambridge, England. Kenneth is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects and was the 2019 recipient of the Kamphoefner Prize from the American Institute of Architects North Carolina Chapter. In addition to practice, Kenneth is President of the Leaders Council at the NC State College of Design where he has also taught design studios.Kenneth’s many years of design leadership on projects throughout North America has created a body of work that inspires active participation in buildings and public spaces. His career is motivated by architecture’s role in how we understand ourselves and others. This has become an essential element of Kenneth’s practice as he seeks a deeper, more vivid understanding of our options for dwelling in and with our built and social environment. These insights inform each of his designs and the communities they serve.

He also serves on the University’s Council of Chairs. Kenneth has been an invited lecturer on a variety of design topics, is a frequent visiting design critic, and has juried a number of awards programs.Kenneth’s many years of design leadership on projects throughout North America has created a body of work that inspires active participation in buildings and public spaces. His career is motivated by architecture’s role in how we understand ourselves and others.
