Responsible for evaluating and maintaining the organization's compensation functions for 700+ roles and 11,000+ employees with a Total Rewards perspective. Under the management and support of the Sr. Vice President of Compensation and Benefits, the Director of Compensation collaborates with the department and organizational leadership by leveraging personal expertise and knowledge of compensation best practices within and outside of education settings, and leads to ensure that our compensation approach is set to be fair, competitive, and support our goals to attract, motivate, and retain IDEA Public Schools staff.

The scope of this exciting role involves overseeing all aspects of our HR business operations for a $22M contingent worker program in seven states. This includes closely tracking the performance of 225 contract workers annually to ensure full adherence with all policies and standards.In this position, I also oversee the end-to-end completion of the onboarding process. The timely completion of this process has been essential for building skilled teams of professionals.My achievements include:• Leading the creation and successful implementation of a DocuSign-based automated contingent worker request process. The success of this new system has directly resulted in a $2M savings in unnecessary overtime costs.• Steering the negotiation of cost-effective terms with our vendors during the creation of new staff contracts.• Championing compliance with SOX, local, state, and federal standards during the creation of new policies.

With the Whataburger Corporation, I worked closely with Equifax as we developed a new system dashboard which was key for tracking variable labor hours and their compliance with the Affordable Care Act.This massive undertaking included overseeing multiple initiatives focusing on implementation and improvement in systems.Some of my accomplishments include:• Being selected as the sole leader for our HR technology direction which included the allocation of a $1M budget and all systems stewardship.
