Manage day to day machining operations addressing any quality, or manufacturing issues. Develop cad/cam programs for the machining process of dies, along with die design. Analyze and adjust work schedules. Manage costs and expenses through process efficiencies. Support engineering and r & d projects. Facilitate indirect labor support for machine repair, design improvements, kaizen implementation, and 7's standards. Develop and support a culture of lean manufacturing/thinking, just in time philosophy, and a safety-first mind set. Interview, hire, and resolve problems within the organizational structure, using disciplinary action up to termination. Provide senior leadership, guidance, mentorship, and personal development of his/her direct reports in the areas of daily operational management, systems development, and optimization. Ensure that all direct reports are sufficiently skilled, trained, and perform their functions in an efficient manner.
