Serve as the chief administrator of Utilities Instruction Company in developing and implementingpolicies, programs, curriculum activities, and budgets promoting the educationaldevelopment of each student and the professional development of each staff member.The Academics Officer conceptualizes the broad goals of the school and plans accordingly toensure that procedures and schedules are implemented to carry out the total school program.The Academics Officer defines the responsibilities and accountability of staff members and develops plans for interpreting the school program to the engineer community.The Academics Officer provides activities which facilitate the professional growthof the school staff and enhance the quality of the instructional program.The Academics Officer ensures that instructional objectives for the electronics, electrical, refrigeration, and water purification and distribution areas are developed, and involves the faculty and operating forces SMEs in the development of specific curricular objectives to meet the needs of the school program. The Academics Officer evaluates student progress in the instructionalprogram by means that include the maintaining of up-to-date student data. The Academics Officer supervises and appraises the performance of the school staff.The Academics Officer maintains good relationships with students, staff, and parent commands. The Academics Officer orients and assists new staff and new students and provides opportunities for their input in the school program.The Academics Officer encourages the use of supporting establishment resources, cooperates with the community in the use of school facilities, interprets the school program for the community, and maintains communication with community members.The Academics Officer manages, directs, and maintains records on the materials, suppliesand equipment which are necessary to carry out the daily school routine.

Reorganized the Utilities Officer corps moving 44 officers to billets best suited to meet the needs of the Marine Corps.Initiated Capability Development Documents (CDDs) through Universal Needs Statements UNS). Developed and updated Authorized Acquisition Objectives (AAOs) for engineer utilities equipment via Table of Organization and Equipment Change Request (TOECR) submissions. Oversaw Mobile Electric Hybrid Power Source (MEHPS) program development beginning with DOTMLPF analysis and JCIDS process.Maintained and updated project portfolios.

As a Utilities Project Officer for Expeditionary Power Systems I Served as the Department of the Navy's Systems Command representative for Marine Corps Expeditionary Power, Water Systems, and Refrigeration system programs responsible for equipping and sustaining Marine forces with full-spectrum, current and future expeditionary and crisis response capabilities. I Managed all aspects of a $20 million acquisition program to include acquisition planning, contracting, budgeting, Funding Action Requests, logistics support-ability, and new equipment training.I worked as a member of the Integrated Planning Team with US Department of Energy studying methods to incorporate new energy technologies into the Marine Corps expeditionary power schemes. I was the Marine subject matter expert supporting Sandia National Labs in creating an energy modeling and decision tool capable of implementing all current and near future technologies into realistic scenarios.As Project manager I directed the Cummins Power development of a micro-gridding digital control system operating several generators autonomously providing fuel efficiencies and logistics savings.I was also the Project manager directing Cummins Power in developing a large scale, 30kWH energy storage system used in conjunction with the micro-gridding digital control system.I was the Utilities liaison to Marine Corps Expeditionary Energy Office fielding the Ground Renewable Electrical Energy Network System (GREENS), a lightweight solar system capable of producing up to 3kW of power.I received the Meritorious Service Medal for accomplishments as a project officer in the fields of expeditionary energy and renewable energy development.

Leadership:October 2008 - May 2009 - Utilities Officer responsible for site surveys, planning, team organization, and construction of semi-permanent living and training facilities throughout Iraq. o Received the Marine Corps Engineer Association Engineer Officer of the Year award for the work completed and training provided.July 2008 - October 2008 - Liaison Officer coordinated efforts between Navy and Marine Corps pertaining to construction projects throughout Anbar province Iraq.February 2007 - July 2008 - Director of 225 personnel responsible for the maintenance and repair of engineering, construction, and motor transport equipment throughout Okinawa, Japan.June 2003 - June 2004 - Director of 325 personnel responsible for the maintenance and repair of engineering, construction, and motor transport equipment throughout the southeastern US.Operational Planning:May 2009- July 2010 Operations Officer Combat Logistics Regiment-35, responsible for the current operations, future operations, and training for an organization of over 2,000 personnel. February 2002 Deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as the Supply & Logistics Officer and the Utilities and Motor Transport Officer. Negotiated with the Army 82nd Airborne Division to share battle-space at Kandahar and was instrumental in setting up air defense systems for the U.S. military.February 2003 – August 2003 Company Commander, Directed 200 personnel during Operation Iraqi Freedom providing the maintenance for all forward units. Following the successful invasion of Iraq efforts turned to the refurbishing and reconstitution of all assets. August 1999 - November 2001 Platoon Commander, Managed over 100 personnel, deployed to Korea in support of exercise Foal Eagle, to Australia in support of exercise Tandem Thrust, and to Guam in support of Operation Noble Eagle following the September 11th terrorist attacks on the U.S.

December 2006 – Utilities Officer, Chaklala, Pakistan - Reconfigured the electrical power distribution grid for Combined Medical Relief Team-3 that was providing medical aid to earthquake victims.January 2005 - Utilities Officer ,Sri Lanka - Following the tsunami that devastated the island nation, worked with various governments and ministry officials to arrange for the production and delivery of drinking water to thousands of refugees along the south and western seaboard. May 2004 - Utilities Officer, Bangladesh - Taught the Bangladeshi Army the Marine Corps Planning Process and Cantonment Planning. Also provided medical services to the Bangladeshi people.
