Through this direct-training, defensive cybersecurity program I've developed my skills in networking, Linux Security, Windows Security, Cloud Security, as well as cyberinfastructure technologies, incident response and digital forensics. In addition to the scheduled school work, I'm pursuing my CompTIA Network+ and Security+ certifications. Project Highlights include:Configuration of a LAN Within Cisco Packet Tracer.Planned and implemented multiple networking devices as well as endpoint devices. Configured multiple divisions such as Marketing and Sales using VLANS to establish network efficiency as well as increasing security by creating virtual boundaries.Disabled unused ports in order to increase security.Created subnets to bolster security while having the advantage of logical divisions for each department.Implementing Splunk.Provided a VM to work with.Connected to a mail server using telnet to gather any suspicious information, concluded that unauthorized download attempts might of been made.Used Splunk to search download attempts. Found a URL with a MD5 hash. Cracked the hash and found the flag. Digital Forensics File Carving.Provided an image to inspect for any potential issues. Inspected the image size of the .JPG.Implemented binwalk using SIFT Workstation to determine multiple hidden images within the file.Used HxD to view hex code from the image header to the end of the file, resulted in the discovery of two additional photos.
