I cut my advertising teeth at a very good agency, The Martin Agency in Richmond, VA. I was lucky to have great mentors and also lucky enough to help win and direct the GEICO account. My six years building that brand shaped how I do work today.After that I spent 16 years building brands for my clients at Doner in Detroit. Brands like Serta, Progressive Auto Insurance, Mazda, Chrysler, Cox Communications and more. Doner entrusted me to start the first digital creative group in their history. During those years I even was inducted in the Advertising Icon Hall of Fame for my creation of the GEICO Gecko.I left the chilly embrace of Michigan to pursue my dream of becoming a Chief Creative Officer. Santy Integrated located in sunny Scottsdale, Arizona gave me that chance. I took advantage of that opportunity and worked on unusual and exciting brands like Pocky, Harvest Snaps, Peter Piper Pizza and Bubbies Ice Cream.After Santy, I took the role of Creative Director of a very smart and creative agency in Tempe, Arizona. Zion & Zion. This is an agency rooted in strategy and dedicated to creativity that gets results. Given the increasing number of digital projects, one of the first things I did after taking the position was to get my UX certification. While there I was able to apply my skills, old and new, to clients like Aristocrat Technology, ISM Raceway, Sun Health, University of Dubuque, Pita Jungle, and the Donor Network of Arizona.I've finally settled in beautiful Austin, Texas. Redroc Austin lured me in with their no-bullshit, unpretentiousness. Redroc is a fearless, small agency that keeps me grounded in what got me this far in the Ad Business - Dedication to creativity without forgetting to keep a grip on reality.
