"Uber Data - Experimentation team"・Designed and built “Targeting” platform which is the Uber core data evaluation platform. (a) It can do both local and remote evaluation while processing data both offline and in real-time to maximize efficiency. (b) Implemented the core service which performs as Uber tier 0 service, takes larger than 600K QPS, works with 2 layers caching schemas, and is highly robust when talking with other services. (c) Wrote golang SDK for other Uber Go services to make use of, which is light-weighted and easy to on-board.・Designed and implemented Uber Experimentation UI 2.0 Backend. Designed the database schema with high concurrency performance. Built the evaluation and error check pipeline for the complex experiment configurations.

"Uber Data - Experimentation team"・Built “Centurion” service which is for experimentation monitoring. Worked on both frontend and backend. Used ReactJS to implement the multi-page application UI which is highly dynamic and responsive. Leveraged Guice (dependency injection framework) to implement backend Java service and improved data processing workflow.・Re-designed experimentation team databases. (a) Migrated attribute data storage to Cassandra which solved the latency issue caused by communications cross multiple datacenters. (b) Re-designed experiment configuration MySQL database and completed data migration and shadowing. Implemented data validation and consistency check.・Designed and implemented the new logging system for experimentation based on ELK, which can provide details about how the experiment is running, how the data is distributed in different regions / times / etc. and how the evaluation result is given.

"China Growth Team"・Took full charge of project “Group Competition”, aiming at grouping drivers to compete and increase their motivation.・Created front end leaderboard using React JS, with back end support to update real-time data of thousands of teams.・Developed score computation system based on Flask, which talks to databases as Redis, MySQL and Schemaless, fetches data through HTTP, TChannel and ajax and works as an async celery job.・Participated in design procedure and launched the project with huge business success (500M trips, 36.2% increase).
