With over 40 years of experience in the HVAC/R industry, I am passionate about providing quality mechanical services, delighting my customers and sharing my knowledge and skills with others. I am the owner of Vortex Mechanical Services, a full-service HVAC/R contractor that serves residential and commercial clients in the Austin area. I am also an adjunct instructor at Austin Community College, where I teach core curriculum in HVAC/R applications, refrigeration, electricity, and safety practices in the Workforce Training program.As a business owner, I am responsible for managing all aspects of the operations, including sales, marketing, finance, human resources, and customer service. I also oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC/R systems, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and regulations. As an instructor, I enjoy engaging and motivating students to learn and apply the technical and practical skills of HVAC/R. I use a variety of teaching methods, such as lectures, demonstrations, hands-on exercises, and assessments, to ensure the students achieve the learning outcomes and prepare for the certification exams.
