Kenneth Trujillo-Jamison uses his sharply honed analytical and strategic skills to efficiently handle his clients’ most complex and challenging matters. As but one example, as a member of AbbVie’s 100%-diverse trial team in “one of the five big healthcare lawsuits” of 2020, Kenneth helped convince the Delaware Chancery Court to find Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. liable for breach of contract and award AbbVie a judgment in excess of $500 million. At trial, Kenneth examined and defended multiple expert witnesses.Kenneth also has deep experience litigating entertainment matters. Kenneth is currently defending Disney and Pixar in a copyright infringement case involving the film “Moana," and a prominent doll company in a trial involving claims for trade dress infringement and misappropriation of name, image, and likeness. He also represented a prominent portrait photographer in a right-of-publicity case brought by the rapper Jay-Z. He has also repeatedly secured dismissals on the pleadings of copyright infringement claims involving motion pictures and television showsKenneth also is experienced defending technology companies in litigation. For example, he has repeatedly secured dismissals on Communications Decency Act grounds of an action seeking to hold a eminent presocial media company liable for claims arising out of users' content posted on his platform. Kenneth also has experience counseling Southern California Gas Company on regulatory issues before the California Public Utilities Commission.In 2024, Kenneth was recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal as a Leader of Influence: Litigators & Trial Attorneys and as Thriving in [His] 40s. He also was recognized as a “One to Watch” in the 2021 and 2022 editions of Best Lawyers, and a SuperLawyers Rising Star for 2021. Aside from his practice, Kenneth is the President of the Board of the Inner City Law Center, a past president and current board member of the Housing Rights Center., and a member of the Board of the California Minority Counsel Program. He also is a former Trustee of the Los Angeles Copyright Society. Finally, Kenneth has served as a 2018 Pathfinder and a 2022 Fellow in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity program.
