Land & Property Management • Review need for developed industrial land• Review Council’s land and property portfolio with relevant Business Units and initiate appropriate procedures to dispose of any surplus land and property assets • Promote sale of Council owned properties surplus to Council’s needs (i.e. Asset Rationalisation) • Maintain Council’s Public Land Register in accordance with Local Government Act 1993• Manage all aspects of Council’s properties• Facilitate all property transactions for Council, including acquisitions and disposals, in accordance with specific Council resolutions. This also includes all aspects of road closure applications • Maximise return to Council on all property transactions • Maintain/review freehold leases and Crown Reserve licences (i.e. Council Trust Manager) • Supervise Property Coordinator Supporting Investment • Provide a central point of contact for major and minor investors to access information, support and assistance in respect of prospective investments and property related enquiries• Ensure that Goulburn Mulwaree is projected as a high quality location for new investment• Represent Council in negotiations for investment attraction with involvement from Economic Development Projects Officer when required • Ensure quality information is available and disseminated to all relevant private sector advocates and decision makers at a Local, State and Commonwealth level• Prepare submissions, discussion papers and consultants briefs as requiredLegal Support • Provide legal support to other Business Units where possible (i.e. property conveyance matters, contracts, memorandums of understanding, deeds, bank guarantees) and obtain further legal if necessaryCommunity Services• Management of aged care, disabilities and youth services KOA’s
