During this time I have continued to grow within my work center at Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS), and have achieved a new position with higher levels of responsibility and leadership. I supervised 15+ members over 4 cross functional teams, to include System Engineers on a daily basis. I was the most senior member of the team and I trained/ onboarded each new member that joined the team. I was an integral part of several system upgrades, and was a trusted subject matter expert that was sent to other agencies regularly to share system knowledge and enhance capabilities.CAREER MILESTONES:- Critical member of a 10 person team that on-boarded two additional SBIRS satellites, used a non-material fix with no cost incurred, and resulted in a 100% increase in infrared data in a specific region.- Engineered a configuration change that improved operator efficiency, reduced errors in commanding, and saved 8,736 personnel hours annually.- Directed a 4 person team through an adversarial ingress on one of the SBIRS satellites, developed and executed an orbital collision avoidance checklist, and maintained an uninterrupted flow of data. - Led a command and control software failure response by manually tasking a satellite sensor to a crucial location during a time when an outage could result in further issues.- Certified a Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications system upgrade by coordinating satellite command and control over a 6 month test period allowing for the modernization and survivability of the global missile warning architecture. ADDITIONAL:- Presented novel Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) capabilities of the SBIRS satellites during an exercise to Senior Leadership, meeting the training objectives of the United States Space Command. - Presented subject matter expert level feedback on operations to a military contract software team, allowing for the overhaul of a $6.4M weapon systems simulator.

During this time I made the choice to transfer to the newly created United States Space Force as a founding member. I was able to enhance my knowledge in this position with the Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) and become a trusted subject matter expert for other departments and agencies. This also allowed me to take on additional duties within my work center. CAREER MILESTONES:- Led a 3 member team through an anomaly mitigation process that corrected 137 program deficiencies and repaired a $850M asset. - Worked on an 18 day software upgrade, conducted 114 tests and evaluations that validated a $2.6M command and control weapon system and increased performance by 20%. - Recognized a satellite failure, prepared and conducted a recovery action plan that resolved the failure, averted a 72 hour data outage, and saved $8.7K in further fix action costs. - Supported a team that certified an antenna upgrade and validated a $2.2M project. - Mitigated risk to satellite payload; planned maneuver would have placed asset at significant risk of damage, briefed leadership on decision. ADDITIONAL:- Led a team of 20 people that planned a historic squadron event for 200 attendees, with a $7k budget, and three weeks to execute the event. - Co-chair of a small event for the 50th anniversary of a satellite for high-level VIP military leadership, coordinated all logistics, and ensured the success of the event.COURSEWORK:- Advanced Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR)- 80-hour course on the advanced OPIR capabilities of the military and associated agency assets. - Airman Leadership School- 5-week course that integrates Airman from all career fields and presents the challenges of leadership and supervisory roles in today's Air and Space Force in a controlled environment. Much of my time in this role was spent learning how to become a member of the United States Air Force and how to learn the technical aspects of the role I would be fulfilling as a satellite operator with the Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS). During this time I took every opportunity to lead fellow classmates and coworkers. I tutored and mentored students, ensuring no one was left behind, was selected as a class leader for the course, and provided customized instruction to low performing classmates. CAREER MILESTONES:- Worked with three constellations of satellites that made up SBIRS, a $34.7B system, that provided missile warning notifications to the President, the Secretary of Defense, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff. - Led a team of 4 military and two engineers through two satellite maneuvers.

The cornerstone of this role was developing and maintaining relationships with all levels of hospital leadership and involving them in my strategy for accomplishing necessary tasks. I managed the second and third shift team of approximately 30 housekeepers. This involved daily, weekly, and monthly goal setting that I established and carried out with my team. I was responsible for hiring new members, monthly training of current employees, and continually looking for ways to improve our processes, while maintaining company policies. I developed and implemented a new method of tracking every room in the hospital and what cleaning process had been done and on what date.Through joint efforts of myself and the morning Assistant Director, we created a department that ran with high efficiency and consistently ranked with the highest patient approval in the hospital. Our department became an example for other departments within the hospital and was continually referenced by hospital leadership for our discipline in a high-touch, guest-facing role.

Developed a yearly schedule to meet each of the Florida State Standards expected to be presented to each student. Throughout the year I had to plan and replan strategies to meet the individual benchmark needs of students so they met goals for specific metrics and showed a pattern of growth. This often included scheduling meetings with parents to gain additional support and resources for individual students. I worked with administrators to meet their set goals, and worked alongside other teachers to learn new strategies and share ideas.In my second year of teaching I was tasked with developing a revised version of the math curriculum that better met the needs of students, allowed parents to assist their students at home, and was easier for teachers to use in the classroom. In a one week period I redesigned a year's worth of material that was far more user friendly and better met the needs of each user group. This plan was approved by school administration and led to me training other teachers on how to teach the math curriculum I created. It yielded positive results from students and parents and resulted in a 96% pass rate in the annual Florida State Standardized testing in math.

Personally directed the land portion of Holland America Line's Alaska/Yukon tours on a project management level. Each tour required detailed knowledge of 30 specific tour itineraries for up to 52 guests and ranged from 4-12 days of travel.- Managed hotel bookings, arrival, and departure at each destination for up to 52 guests throughout tour.- Coordinated border crossings with US and Canadian Customs and Border agents by submitting documentation prior to arrival.- Met all sales goals for each tour.- Provided customized guest service for each guest, entertaining every reasonable request. - Managed the tour logistics for each tour, providing inside knowledge on restaurants, activities, and events in 12 cities in Alaska, British Columbia, and the Yukon Territory. - Worked directly with cruise ship tour operators, hotels, restaurants, and tour venues to seamlessly manage all aspects of the guided tour operations. The most challenging situation I had to resolve occurred in the final two days of a 12 day tour. Taking an 8 hour train ride from Denali to Anchorage outside temperatures soared to 100 degrees placing strain on the a/c units onboard the train and leaving my elderly guests at risk of heat related injury. Two hours from arrival to the small town of Talkeetna, AK I coordinated a motor coach rendezvous at the train station for the remainder of the way to Anchorage, creating a more comfortable trip and keeping my clients happy.Another major challenge involved coordinating a helicopter rescue of a guest from Denali National Park. The guest suffered a serious medical issue while on tour, so I was able to seek medical help and get the guest to the nearest hospital in Fairbanks, AK. I then provided the remaining family members comfort and updates of the incident. Upon arrival in Fairbanks I setup additional transportation for them to see the guest in the hospital, and managed to keep the rest of the tour group totally unaware and maintaining their vacation.
