Here we learned how to construct financial projections, gather and consolidate raw data to contribute to investor proposals, Bloomberg exposure and a good understanding of Excel.

Here undertook research into upstream oil and gas companies• assisting with the preparation of documents in connection with a share acquisition and preference share investment into a private company• undertaking research into the second market abuse directive• assisting with the preparation of certain documents in connection with the acquisition of ordinary shares ina private company• assisting with mandatory filings at Companies HouseIn addition,during my time at shepherd and Wedderburn, I also reviewed a number of different types of legal documentation, including private equity investment documents and public company briefing memoranda.

Between February and April 2012 I spent three months on an upstream oil and gas rig close to the city of Homs in Syria. There I had great exposure to the logistical operations carried out on site and the technical aspects of the extraction and production of oil and gas.
