Now a screenwriter and podcast producer, I have spent thirty-six years being an agent for change in organizations that involve intellectual enterprise and intellectual property, for educational and entertainment products and services, with experience at all levels—elementary, middle school, high school, college, graduate, professional, consumer and military. My work included sales, editorial, product design, committee, project management, executive, and board positions that have given me strategic and tactical experience in organizations both large and small, hierarchical and entrepreneurial. At the same time I have spent all of my adult life volunteering at the Smithsonian and a variety of other not-for-profits, advising on strategic and organizational development issues and supporting strategic growth. The hallmarks of my usefulness are being an agent for change, synthesizing internal and external sources into a framework for change, creative thinking and problem solving, strategic planning and implementation, strategic partnering, and frugality.
