After dedicating over three decades to engineering excellence, I've embarked on a new chapter that perfectly aligns my technical expertise with my deepest passion: making a meaningful difference in people's lives. Throughout my career in engineering, I solved complex process engineering challenges for industry leaders like Procter & Gamble, Abbott, and Eli Lilly, particularly in papermaking, food processing, and biopharmaceuticals. Every project reinforced my belief that the most rewarding achievements come from combining technical precision with genuine human connection.Today, I channel my energy into nonprofit leadership, serving on several boards including Whitewater Bible Camp, where I've been actively involved for over 30 years. This transition feels natural – whether optimizing pharmaceutical processes or shaping transformative youth programs, my core mission has always been about creating positive, lasting impact. My engineering background taught me invaluable lessons about systematic problem-solving and continuous improvement. Using advanced process software like Intergraph Smart P&ID, Valmet WinGEMS, and AFT Fathom, I optimized countless designs and processes. Now, I apply these same analytical and strategic thinking skills to strengthen nonprofit organizations and enhance their community impact. What energizes me most is mentoring and guiding others, sharing both professional insights and personal values. At Whitewater Bible Camp, I work alongside dedicated individuals to create Bible-centered experiences that shape young lives. This work shows that the principles driving engineering excellence are equally vital in building strong character and faith-based foundations.I believe that retirement isn't about stepping back – it's about stepping up to new challenges. My journey from process engineering to nonprofit leadership demonstrates how professional skills and personal passions combine to create meaningful change.I welcome connections with:• Fellow professionals transitioning from corporate careers to nonprofit service• Engineering veterans interested in mentoring the next generation• Nonprofit leaders seeking to strengthen their organizational effectiveness• Anyone passionate about youth development and faith-based community serviceLet's explore how we can create lasting positive impact in our communities. Whether you're interested in discussing process engineering, nonprofit leadership, or their intersection, I'm eager to share experiences and learn from others committed to making a difference.
