My significant other and I explored 30 states through out the continental US. We were in search of a new city to call home; after a few months of preparation, 20,000 miles, many lessons learned, and ten months of living on the road, we selected San Diego, California.

Completed four months of Engineering Camp where I learned to design and program control systems on B&R hardware. I spent the following 6 months programming machines for customers in the Los Angeles and Orange County region.

Designed and built a test fixture designed to simulate all hardware connected to H&B PLC and HMI Controllers. This would allow for software updates to be tested on the test fixture and not on a production quality machine.

I participated in a collaborative research and development project with a Cal Poly ME Undergraduate. We designed and built a prototype for an attachment to one of M&O Perry's vial filling machines. In three months I was able to teach myself RSLogix 500, about PLCs, PLC sensors, and AutoCAD Electrical. Additionally, I programmed the PLC using relay logic, designed the power distribution circuit, and assisted in the Solidworks design.

Began working at Pacific Instruments Inc. the summer of my Sophomore year.Converted all mechanical drawings from TurboCAD to SolidWorks.Designing new parts to be manufactured.Will continue working for Pacific through the school year via a remote desktop login.
