Senior AI leadership role reporting to Chief Data & Analytics officer and responsible for providing GenAI, AI, and ML solutions to a wide variety of lines of business, effectively running an internal consultancy to groups that need solutions but lack capacity or capability. Accountable for delivering $30M+ product portfolio leading a small team of AI developers, data scientists, and data engineers dedicated to developing and implementing transformative AI projects. Team responsible for training, serving, monitoring, and deploying advanced ML models while designing for automated MLOps. In addition, I am a member of Truist’s AI / ML / GenAI Working group, driving the strategic direction of AI investments across the company and a member of Industry and Government Engagement Team and Cloud Governance Framework team.

In a strategic capacity worked to develop a multi-specialty analytics practice within the consumer bank. Started with three employees and supported growth to more than 100 analysts and engineers. Carved out a small team of data scientists to work on advanced data mining, natural language processing, and machine learning projects for our group as well as diverse stakeholders in various parts of the bank. • Managed talent pipeline by meeting, recruiting, hiring, and developing critical high-demand skillsets from diverse pools of talent.• Led development of inventive solutions to critical areas of analytics and data management, leading to the filing of several patents in the areas of autonomous data discovery and causal inferencing.

Quantitative risk manager focusing on fixed income, foreign exchange, and derivatives trading. Led team of market risk analysts in producing regulatory reporting, researching market events, and ensuring desk adherence to trading policies and procedures. Worked closely with front and back-office, participated in firm Risk Management Committee, and worked to create new technology solutions to improve group efficiency. •Successfully rolled out risk data transparency program to bring monitoring to near real-time for key portfolio performance metrics across trading desks, eliminating multiple manual data processes and significantly reducing operational risk. •Implemented solutions to meet DFAST and CCAR regulatory examination requirements, supervising development across a wide array of stakeholders and driving consensus among key decision makers.

Senior advisory role in Colombia's Finance Ministry operating among many groups within the directorate of Treasury and Public Credit. Built relationships with leaders throughout the ministry, including the Minister of Finance and both Technical Vice Ministers, Treasurer, Director of Public Credit, and the Directors of Internal and External Debt. Partnered with various stakeholders to develop strategies for posturing engagements with ratings agencies and institutional investors. Met with global investors to discuss terms and structuring of national privatization initiatives. Engaged multilateral and development bank credit teams to discuss terms of credit facilities and potential credit support for development bank lending transactions. Partnered with export, regulatory/supervisory, and control agencies to produce interagency publications. Led meetings with Central Bank (Banrep) and external stakeholders to explore monetary policy issues.

Highly independent role focused on building a strategic governance framework for key mortgage insurance counterparties over the course of approximately one year, culminating with the rollout of direct boots-on-the-ground operations audits and interviews with C-level officers. •Partnered with internal stakeholders across FNM to identify the entire lifecycle of mortgage insurance coverage and claims processing, working to create key performance indicators and design test scripts for observation, confirmation, information technology, and examination audits; trained a team of 20+ professionals to perform on site audits with tasks ranging.•Supported design of catastrophe management plan for key national mortgage registry services, including procedures for contract substitution and data recovery. • Prior to Single Family worked as lead counterparty analyst for state housing finance agencies and mortgage banks, later moving toward monoline mortgage insurers. Worked with FNM internal data to create data validation and quality algorithms.• Responsible for multiple sector economic analysis, comprehensive credit ratings, developing stress test methodologies, and capital adequacy models. Sector coverage included mortgage insurers, financial guarantors, and housing finance agencies, among others.

Progressed through several roles focused on risk modeling in trading environment. Responsible for developing business rules, modeling standards, and data pipelines for enterprise risk management, including market and credit risk. Served as product specialist for fixed income and derivatives markets. •Fixed income modeling and derivatives modeling, focusing on risk metrics and volatility of non-exchange traded instruments.•Liaised between traders, financial advisors, and other risk groups to define risk and structure complex transactions.•Designed and executed development of master agreements data base for use in tracking counterparty legal agreements and estimating capital requirements for key counterparty exposures.
