I taught "A Comparison of English Speaking Countries", a course that delved into the economic, political, geographic, and cultural differences among English speaking countries around the world. The course was spread across two semesters and was taught to two classes of Chinese undergraduate students at Tianjin Foreign Studies University. I used English and Mandarin Chinese as instructional languages.

I created, enhanced and maintained a sense of shared community for a residence hall floor of 60 student residents throughout an entire school year. I offered programs, social activities, and other opportunities for residents to interact with one another. I provided peer support and education, conflict mediation, policy enforcement, emergency management, and event planning to the student residents. I further performed weekly administrative shifts at a residence hall front desk.

As a second year intern in Moody's Corporate Finance Group, I returned to the Oil and Gas Team, where I collected data, produced graphics, and contributed to the writing of two research articles. The first article assessed the production costs for 90 exploration and production (E&P) companies within the oil and gas industry to determine which producers were best suited to sustain operations in an extended low commodity price environment in which crude oil prices had fallen over 50%. The second article compared the operating performance of ConocoPhillips to several independent E&P peers to highlight the complexity of ConocoPhillips’ business model leading to a better understanding of the mixed market signals derived from its key financial and leverage metrics. Furthermore, I also collected data and created graphics for the Oil and Gas Teams Quarterly Report, which is used both internally and externally to review recent trends within the industry in order to determine where the industry is heading in the future.

During my first summer internship with Moody's, I interned with the High Yield and Oil & Gas Teams within the Corporate Finance Group at Moody's Investors Service. I collected data and created graphics for the Oil and Gas Team's Refining and Marketing Sector Outlook, as well as a Special Comment on condensate exports. I also managed an Excel database consisting of every company rated by the High Yield Team and performed trend analysis on 113 Oil and Gas companies in order to see what factors have caused these companies to experience ratings changes.

I officiated one season of Intramural Flag Football at Florida State University. I worked with two other officials each night in order to call penalties and keep the football games under control.

I was a summer intern to the President/CEO of Consultel, Inc, a communications consulting business focused on reducing telecom costs for large companies. I accompanied the CEO to Toronto, Ontario to finalize a contract that saved the client over $400,000 in telecommunications expenses. I further created a database to centralize all of the company's project data and budget spreadsheets used to assess quantitative cost-reduction scenarios for clients.

I participated in the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program, a program designed to involve first and second year undergraduates in research. I aided a doctoral candidate in conducting research on undergraduate retention rates. I conducted statistical analysis assessing the effect of participation in extracurricular activities on retention rates and presented the research, "A Predictive Model of Social Engagement on College-Ongoing Persistence", at the Eastern Educational Research Association Conference, in Sarasota, Florida, on February 22nd, 2013. I later presented the research at the FSU Undergraduate Research Symposium on March 26th, 2013.
