I began my professional career as a U.S. Marine where I served as a Fire Support Man. During my tenure as a Marine, I learned professionalism, teamwork, dedication, and a drive to never quit. As a fire support man my job was to locate, plot, and radio in targets for artillery and air assets. I became proficient in using land navigation techniques, teamwork, and communication to complete missions. After a 4-year enlistment I went on to complete diesel and automotive technician school at UTI but ended up in the construction trade. I worked for a general contractor for 5 years and utilized my teamwork abilities to complete tasks from small to large. I was promoted to foreman and superintendent while working for this company. I learned a lot about planning, scheduling, and managing a crew of up to ten members.
