About Kenneth Edward Piner

I love to build from scratch. Whether it's developing a new live video production, helping clients make international business decisions by gathering key compliance data from across the globe, or creating systems for community input into auditing policy, I get a kick out of helping companies communicate both internally and externally and building the key core team to support the work. Building is a theme for me. As a child, I played with blocks – a lot. I enjoyed building towers and cities and telling stories about them including reporting on the resulting destruction from fan-induced windstorms. I loved how the parts came together (and apart) and telling the story. The childhood builder is still with me. No matter the job, each contained an element of efficiently creating and building a new project. For me, building includes people. I gain great joy in mentoring the team toward the desired results and combining their views into a stronger final vision. Unlike as a child where I played God with my block cities, life now is about diplomacy, building bridges and bringing people together on a team where individuality can shine. At a project's completion, I love turning to my team and through the haze of the final deadline’s push-see the achievement twinkle in their eyes.I thrive off those twinkling moments. We took one of our nephews on his first trip to Europe when he was 15. For the rest of my life, I'll remember his grin while standing on top of St. Peter's dome to take in the views of Rome's hills. It was a joyful moment and for me a life's success for impacting someone else's life.I aspire to be in a position to take that kind of impact to an organization's communications to drive engagement. Like looking out over Rome, I thrive on a strategy's broad view and I think of its positive legacy both in revenue and people's views for the product or company. For me, it's not just about showing up, it's about what I've helped build and sharing their good stories.
