Manager, Continued Operational Safety
CurrentResponsible for ensuring the safety and integrity of all Piper aviation products, from customer delivery throughout their service life. Includes both current production and out-of-production models.Prepare Preliminary Risk Assessments using guidance from the FAA Small Aircraft Risk Assessment (SARA) handbook.Develop engineering solutions to aging aircraft issues, such as corrosion and metal fatigue. Corrective actions to include mandatory requirements for repairs, modifications, maintenance and/or inspections. Draft service publications to communicate these corrective actions to owner/operators.Provide technical support to the Piper’s Air Safety department, the NTSB, FAA and other foreign civil aviation authorities.
