Manage capital projects to support facility infrastructure and production area improvements/upgrades.

Manages approximately 20 non-exempt employees and 1-2 manufacturing engineers.

Developed and supervised self-directed work teams (20 – 40 personnel) in the performance of their manufacturing duties and their roles and responsibilities tied to each manufacturing support function.Assisted in the start-up of a new 234,000 square feet manufacturing facility (hired prior to ground breaking); Lead teams responsible for developing training guidelines, system structure, progression tables, standards of work, requisitions, staffing, procedures, and policies. Worked daily on cross functional teams with all facility departments to build relationships and affect production; Engineering, Quality, Materials Management, Human Resources, and Maintenance departments.Developed training program for manufacturing technicians across four shifts for initial facility start up. Adopted by all other departments after production department implementation. Managed and developed the facilities SharePoint site and all departmental pages; site administrator with 200+ users (intermediate to advanced skills). Created online training record system through the site.Implemented 6S program (5S + Safety) across production floor, created team of technicians, engineering, mechanics, and quality personnel to create standardization of the program across all functional areas. Conducted Industrial Safety Analysis on 25+ equipment installations as a part of the facility start up. Determined and worked to develop engineering and procedural solutions to improve safety.

Planned/led logistics operations to transport 700 personnel and approximately $10 million of equipment, including facilities/weapons/ammunition, for 4 battalion exercises and deployment to Afghanistan.Completed Lean Management and Six Sigma classes through Defense Acquisition University; led maintenance team in Afghanistan and applied Lean concepts to improve maintenance readiness by 23%.Attended 3 weeks of Lean Six Sigma Yellow and Green Belt training at local community college.Managed 23,600 square feet of facilities in Afghanistan; improved workspace safety, reduced utility needs, improved efficiency, and designed and contracted hard standing structures; improved quality of life.Coordinated logistics to relocate 700 personnel, 30 vehicles, 67 pieces of equipment, and 100,000+ rounds of ammunition from NC to CA; enabled increased unit combat readiness at 30-day pre-deployment training.Led 22-person team planning/executing redeployment of 700 Marines from Afghanistan to US; coordinated lodging/transportation, accounted for 850 weapons, and procured office/living space; enabled seamless transition.Directed safety for 700-person unit; employed operational risk assessments for training and unit events; ensured OSHA safety regulations met for ground safety, industrial hygiene, and workplace safety.Built team derived from 7 units across the US; led team of 40 to successfully complete training in Mojave Desert, enabling deployment to Iraq; instrumental in logistical withdrawal of equipment and personnel.Led weekly logistics patrols in urban/rural environments in Iraq; successfully delivered 668 tractor trailer loads of equipment and supplies across 44,000 miles of Iraq in support of withdrawal of troops/equipment.Led security escorts for average of 30 civilian semitrailer trucks per week, including American and local nationals; enabled no loss of cargo or personnel due to successful security posture and route planning.
