Supervisor: Haidan Wen.We wanted to better understand electron processes in materials where lattice waves and spin waves are strongly correlated, so I designed and built an ultrafast optical setup to perform the ASOPS technique for probing transient surface reflectivity changes (lasting a few picoseconds) of a given material sample. Then I wrote Python code interfacing with oscilloscope to automate the data acquisition process. My work is being continued by postdocs at the lab to run experiments.
