Developing and maintaining solutions for identity management and single sign-on of cloud based services with a strong emphasis on ease of use and security.Identity and access management RESTful services built on Spring, acting as both identity provider and service provider. Integrations with industry standard authentication protocols such as Active Directory and LDAP for delegated authentication, 2FA services such as Google Authenticator and RSA SecurID for two-factor authentication, and thousands of third party services using SAML and other standard authorization/authentication protocols.Responsibilities include enhancements and maintenance of authorization and authentication policies such as password policies, sign on policies, app access policies, as well as enhancements of on-premise native agents such as with our RADIUS and RSA agents used to integrate with internal intranet traffic. Other responsibilities include debugging and addressing customer escalations using log reporting tools such as Splunk, and interviewing candidates for open positions at the company.Additional work include 8 months full time spent working on small team of ~4-5 to address accumulated tech debt and to bring tech stack up to modern standards. This also included refactoring and enforcing better standards, practices, and frameworks which helped speed up development and deployment times.

Small team of 4 to develop an Android application designed to prepare Ontario Secondary School students for the OSSLT (Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test). The project was implemented following Agile and Scrum developmental processes and the first release won 1st place in a class competition at the University of Toronto on product and process quality.Personal responsibilities included Lead Software Developer, Co-Scrum Master, and Software Architect.

Member of Quality Assurance team for a government social services web application, making use of automation tools such as Watir for Ruby and Rational Functional Tester.Developmental work included founding the automation testing project using Rational Functional Tester (designing and developing the current framework), VBA coding for validation testing in Microsoft's Excel, implementing a custom user authentication provider for IBM's Cognos reporting platform (Java), and writing PL/SQL reports for IBM's Cognos reporting platform.

Prepared and produced chemical adhesives from raw materials for pipe-line bonding and coating, under the direction of a supervising technician. Evaluated adhesive strength using systematic stress tests and compiled data reports of each product for use in improving formula.Improved sand blasting mechanism by implementing a new method, allowing multiple bars to be prepared at once rather than one at a time and reducing average sand blasting time by a half.
