As an experienced accountant, controller, finance service center director, and consultant, I have a strong record of bringing together diverse perspectives to address corporate goals. I have led strategic initiatives that have streamlined operations, reduced expenses, and increased efficiency. I spent more than a decade with First American Title Insurance Company including serving on the team that opened three Finance Service Centers (FSCs) as part of a corporate initiative to transition from a geography-based structure to a function-based structure. I also co-led the company’s Oracle implementation project as a Solution Architect. The extensive change management experience I gained with First American Title came as a result of companywide reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, and budget-reduction initiatives. Throughout, I demonstrated flexibility, vision, and corporate commitment in restructuring the accounting functions in response to these changes. I’ve also honed my ability to rally teams around change. I’ve led teams of all sizes—five to 225—including offshore support resources. Were it not for the company’s decision to close the Tallahassee FSCs in 2016, I would still be with First American Title. Most recently, I’ve provided consulting services to small businesses—but I’m ready to dig into a new challenge that utilizes the full range of my talents. In addition to being a licensed CPA in Florida, I have early career experience with Big Four accounting firm Ernst & Young, where I worked extensively with non-profits and governmental agencies. When I’m not counting beans, I love to travel, cook, bake, and take hot air balloon rides.
