About Dr Kenneth Lasoen
A specialist on security and intelligence with experience and thought-leadership in intelligence analysis, counterintelligence and insider threat management. My expertise includes national security, NATO & EU Defence, offensive cyber operations, and hybrid warfare (specifically countering disinformation and counterdeception); subjects on which I act as policy adviser for government and military. During the negotiations to form the current Belgian government, I helped draft the chapters on security and defence. I also do consulting and training on information security management (NOT IT) and company security culture, with a focus on insider threat detection and countering industrial espionage.I combine my enthusiasm for these subjects with my passion for teaching and training, as a lecturer on intelligence and security at the University of Antwerp. My research has been published in the foremost international journals on security and terrorism (top 5% of research output), and I authored a bestselling book on Belgian intelligence.I'm always excited about opportunities to make my services and expertise available.
