Currently, I am the Head of Research and Development for North America at Sethness Roquette. I began working at Sethness Products Company (now Sethness Roquette)in the quality control department. With Sethness being a small company the workers wear many hats. One of the hats that I wore was helping out with research on new Caramel Colors. Eventually I transitioned into the research role as a Research Technician. I was then promoted into the role of the R&D Team Leader. As the R&D Team Leader for North America I am responsible for the direction of new products in the North American market as well as collaborative work with our other plants in China, France, and India. I also work closely with other departments throughout our plant in order to maintain product consistency and quality. While working in the R&D department I have helped implement the use of DOE when developing new Caramel Colors in order to make sure we are offering the best products to our customers. I have worked with other departments and plants to build trust in the R&D team building and a stronger working relationship between departments and locations. I am certified by the American Society for Quality as a Certified Quality Engineer and Certified Quality Auditor. I am responsible for statistical process control tracking of all incoming and outgoing products. In order to speed up the process of data retrieval I’ve developed tools that have streamlined the data retrieval. I am also a member of the American Chemical Society where I have held several leadership positions including Secretary, Chair-elect, Chair, and Past-Chair.In my free time, I am involved in Tae Kwon Do where I have earned a 7th degree black belt. I am also the Treasurer for my sons hockey team.
