In my role as the Director of Specialty Services, I oversee the operations and strategic development of multiple surgical and non-surgical specialties for the Health System. The subspecialties I support include General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Urology, Women's Health, ENT/Facial Plastics, Endocrinology, Pulmonology/Sleep Medicine, Cardiology, Infectious Disease, Behavioral Health (Therapy, Psych, Neuropsych, Developmental Behavioral Peds and the MAT program), Ophthalmology and the Hospitalist team. Notable accomplishments include development and deployment of several new service lines, growth of several key sub-specialties, and creation and implementation of system-wide quality of care initiatives (telemedicine, pre-op risk optimization clinic).

I am accountable for the operation of three separate service lines at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, including Family Medicine, Speech Pathology and Audiology, and Obstetrics and Gynecology. Notable achievements in this role include startup of a new clinical department (OB/GYN), development and deployment of a shared services model including launching a call center and shared HIMS department, and support of an expansion of the Family Medicine residency program in Elko, NV.

I was responsible for the operation and strategic development of a multi-specialty medical group with locations in the Oakland, Walnut Creek and San Pablo areas. Responsibilities include operations and oversight, continuous process improvement activities, strategic deployment and project management initiatives which interface with all levels of the organization.

In this role, I was responsible for the operation and development of a busy 5 provider medical group and 2 provider pediatric group.
