I began my 30+ year career at Allstate in P&C Operations Management. After learning the back office side of the business, I moved into Sales Management where I led agents through the transition from retail agent status to Allstate’s Neighborhood Office Program for which I received the Key Manager Award for market development. That was followed by senior leadership positions in Home Office where I led teams accountable for defining agency technology requirements for policy processing and CRM applications. This work transformed the customer experience and drove significant expense reductions. After serving as a Sales Technology Director, I moved into a Systems Director role where I led development teams and established a centralized QA organization to support the validation of 450 Sales, Marketing, and Shared Services applications. Looking back on my career at Allstate, having had the opportunity to move frequently between Business and IT leadership positions is something I valued greatly. Leading the business and technology teams responsible for the design and implementation of Allstate’s web based policy processing application and standing up a testing organization to support Sales and Marketing was something of which I am particularly proud. My strengths are in my ability to work across boundaries to build relationships and in being able to balance the demands of both the business and the technology organization. What I enjoy most is leading people, creating a line of sight to the end user and /or customer, and maximizing each individual’s contribution to the organization.
