CurrentAs the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (Deputy CISO) for NAVSEA, I am honored to support the Cybersecurity Directorate (SEA 03) by leading key divisions responsible for safeguarding critical Navy assets. This position involves direct oversight and accountability in three pivotal areas:1. Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO):Spearheading proactive measures to monitor, detect, and respond to cyber threats across NAVSEA’s infrastructure, ensuring continuous defense of mission-critical systems.2. Defensive Cyber Architecture (DCA):Overseeing the design and implementation of secure infrastructure to protect NAVSEA’s data and systems, with a focus on establishing resilient defenses tailored to the Navy’s unique operational requirements.3. Cyber Planning and Response Center (CPRC):Directing strategic cyber planning, threat response, and crisis management to maintain NAVSEA’s readiness against cyber adversaries, with a mandate to provide swift and coordinated response to potential threats.Key Responsibilities:Cyber Defense and Readiness of Naval Maintenance Facilities:This includes Ship Repair Facilities (SRFs), Regional Maintenance Centers (RMCs), Forward Deployed Regional Maintenance Centers (FD-RMCs), Shipyards, and Warfare Centers. My team and I work to secure the cyber environment supporting maintenance and engineering, ensuring sustained operational support for the fleet.Leadership and Collaboration:In this role, I work closely with internal and external stakeholders across the Department of Defense (DoD) and federal cybersecurity agencies, leading a team dedicated to meeting the Navy’s rigorous standards for cybersecurity readiness and resilience. My goal is to foster a secure operational environment that aligns with NAVSEA’s mission, ensuring our systems remain robust in the face of evolving threats.
