My position on this annually-convening committee strengthens my resolve to represent the students of Glenbrook South High School in the deliberation and finalization of the academic calendar. Working alongside prominent figures in educational administration, my goal is to craft serviceable calendars that reflect the desires of my peers.

Perhaps the most remarkable and influential facet of my freshman year at Glenbrook South, I served on the Calendar Study Committee as a student consultant at the behest of the District 225 Board Of Education. I spent days assessing data, making sample calendars, meeting with district officers, and aggregating community feedback. My publishing of the study's findings and subsequent presentation to the Board of Education was a win for the civic engagement of our future leaders, democratically-led governance, and the common good for the people in my community. Within my service on the committee, I applied my enjoyment for analyzing and collecting political data to guide the District in making a decision that overturned decades of precedent to finally be in favor of progress.

Theatrical performance has always been at the forefront of my extracurricular experience. Whether my participation extends to Variety Show, the Spring Play, or supporting others in their own roles, GBS Theater's world-renowned reputation demands self-discipline to be successful. I apply my prior knowledge of theater to illustrate intimate, comedic, and intense scenes in my own unique way.

Navigating the academic administration, adeptly sewing the strings of power, and carefully considering the decisions that influence the careers of thousands, my tenure on the Principal Advisory Committee (PAC) has involved my detailed and thorough investigations of Glenbrook South's inter-workings in an effort to hold our leaders to the highest degree of accountability. As an extension of my position as an elected student official, this leadership opportunity presents me with the ability to lobby for and against decision-making at the highest level of Glenbrook South.

Synthesizing political data to steer progress in the right direction is a task that I consider a duty to the constituents I serve. My role on this committee is to administer feedback assessments from third-party survey providers to students, faculty, and administrators and gather such feedback as a mechanism for amplifying every voice in the Glenbrook community. Throughout my service on this committee, I have worked with district leaders, faculty members, and my student peers to make everyone's professional and academic lives better.Additionally, I've had the pleasure of holding a unique liaison position in our communications with underrepresented groups in the Glenbrook community. My leadership in this role has involved the initiation and direction of mindfulness exercises, games, and routines. Through this experience, I've gained a deeper understanding of the importance of connection with our fellow peers.
