The LaunchPad SBDC uses a data-driven approach to assist high technology and life science entrepreneurs with the development of investor presentations. One of my responsibilities is to participate in the screening of applicants for LaunchPad's investor pitch simulations. Panels of experts participate in the simulations, and score the performance of entrepreneurs along multiple criteria pertaining to the attractiveness of the market opportunity, investment opportunity and technical solution, as well as the quality of the business plan and management team. I am primarily responsible for building and managing the database of results obtained from these simulations, and providing entrepreneurs with analytical reports which compare their performance to the companies in the LaunchPad database which belong to their particular business segment. This enables the entrepreneur to focus his/her efforts on rectifying areas of weakness.

Assists companies seeking to develop strategies for growth, and/or diversification of products and services

Multiple roles in finance with this fast growing technology developer and service provider in the broadband wireless industry.

Co-managed this distributor and installer of roofing products which served a diverse customer base comprised of homeowners, small-to-medium sized domestic and large multinational contractors.

Explored new business models and strategies, such as the addition of video services to its traditional voice and data product lines, so as to enable the company to successfully manage change brought on by increased competition due to deregulation and technological advances.

Directed the external growth initiatives of this internet infrastructure service provider, which was partial spin-off from Verizon/GTE. 3 direct reports.

Performed the full range of M&A activities for GTE’s domestic operations, which included developing strategic rationales, providing valuations, and conducting due diligence, during a period of turmoil for the telecom industry.

Responsible for developing and administering the finance, accounting, human resources and facilities management functions of this start-up developer, publisher and distributor of consumer entertainment software with sales that exceeded $12 million. 12 direct reports.
